Well, nothing much. Life has been pretty boring around here lately. I haven't felt like coming up with interesting blog topics, and of course I've not been taking pictures of the boringness that is life around here lately. That's ok. Boring is sometimes good. It definitely means there is nothing BAD to discuss either, and I've read a lot of books, seen some good movies, and organized several areas of my house in my boredom (in addition to school, which of course consumes many hours of my weeks). So maybe a post or two forthcoming with reviews.
I didn't want to let more than two weeks go by without a blog post, though, so I'm writing today on the subject of: shopping for jeans.
WHY?!? Does this have to be difficult??? I go to buy pants at a store, they fit in the dressing room, I take them home, wear them, wash them and notice little difference in the way they first fit me. Not so with jeans. I currently have three pairs of jeans that I bought fairly recently that don't fit me correctly. Without going into the flaws that are inherent to my body type, I thought they looked great in the dressing room. But now they are home. One pair is ridiculously too big. I look like a clown. One pair hurts to wear them because they are too small. And they are the same size as each other! U.G.H. Jeans are my go-to outfit through much of the year (pretty much October through March with a few wearings sprinkled in over the summer on the rare chilly day) and I like to have a variety of versions to choose from in my closet (different washes, fits, etc). I do have one pair in my closet that fits into the "love" category right now, but I can't wear them much longer because they keep getting holes in them. My dry cleaner is going to start worrying about me after patching up all the holes for me. Oh well. I guess this is just one more of life's mysteries.
Don't even get me started on bathing suits.
