2013 in review!

This year hasn't brought any major changes to our lives, but here are a few memories from the last year.

In January we installed new hardwood floors in our house, which was crazy and not fun, but totally worth all the work. We still love them!

In February, we took an EXTREMELY cold weekend trip to the mountains with Amanda and Chris and Owen. We had fun even despite the heat in the house breaking (not sure Amanda would agree!).

In March, I took off for the weekend to an adoption conference, my second year in a row. It was refreshing and fun.

April saw us updating our home study profile and getting ready for baby #2. I'm hopeful that is what in store for us in 2014, but we'll just have to wait and see what God's plan is.

May was potty training month. I do NOT have good memories of this time but at least it's (mostly) over.

In June we went to the beach with our family. Such fun!

In July Nick and Audrey had birthdays, so we celebrated with a trip to the zoo and a family party.

In August, Audrey started 2 year old preschool, which she absolutely adores.

In September, she moved to a BIG GIRL room!

In October, we got silly and dressed up as the condiment family for Halloween.

In November, we hosted 14 people for Thanksgiving.

And in December, we celebrated the birth of Jesus with our family and friends.

There are many more memories from this year, even if it wasn't a big deal year for any reason. We are thankful to God for our family and our health and our many many blessings and we pray His blessings on you in the New Year! Happy 2014!!

Family Christmas #4

And last, but not least, Ben and Barbara came to spend Christmas Eve night with us. We watched National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, and then got Audrey's presents ready.

It required a convention:

All ready to go!!

Family Christmas #3

December 24 saw us in the car again, from Chattanooga back to my parents' house, where we celebrated with pizza and enjoyed a day with fam.

Playing with the Playmobil nativity set

I love this one - "get off me, Audrey!"

These kids weren't sure what to do with their presents!

Family Christmas #2

We didn't get many pictures of our time up in Chattanooga - it was a whirlwind visit, but nice to spend time with Granddad and Dede. Audrey was given this ADORABLE outfit and then opened her other presents in between exploring the house.
