On the plane ride to Mexico, Audrey did pretty well until right at the end when she was DONE with being on the plane. But we made it in one piece and then took a shuttle to a ferry to a taxi to our condo on the beach. It was a lot of different types of travel in one day, but really didn't take too long to get there.
Our place:
The beach and water were absolutely beautiful; I couldn't get enough of the view (and the cute girl obstructing said view):
Most mornings we went out and just sat on beach chairs and watched the kids play. We had the place nearly to ourselves the whole week, which was so nice:
For lunch we made cheese quesadillas and got chips and guacamole from the restaurant on site. It wasn't the most varied of lunches, but it was cheap, kid friendly, and easy:
Not a bad way to spend an afternoon!
Audrey thought she was one of the guys and loved hanging out with William, Hudson, and Crew:
One day we took a golf cart tour of the island and saw a turtle sanctuary with some other interesting creatures:
Audrey thought touching the turtles was a lot of fun:
The same day we saw the turtles we went to some Mayan ruins that had absolutely beautiful views of the ocean off a cliff.

We ate at some really yummy restaurants while we were there too:

Celebrating our 12th anniversary in Mexico!
It was a WONDERFUL family vacation and we brought back lots of great memories with our friends in a beautiful place.
