Pee pee goes in the potty

I'm saying these words a lot. This past week has been dedicated to potty training. It's appearing that this week will ALSO be dedicated to potty training. We are making steps in the right direction and she is having some success. She's not there yet, but it's getting better. So stay tuned for the return of blogging once I'm done following around a little naked girl and cheering for bodily functions all day long!

Family pictures

We asked Carol Ann to take some family pictures of us so we can update our profile a bit for the adoption. She got some GREAT shots, and that's not easy with my wiggler! Here are a few of my favorites!

 

Haircuts and cheese!

 Audrey got a haircut on Wednesday, which is a bit shorter than I'd planned on, but it will grow fast and it's cute. She wouldn't let me get a picture without cheese in her mouth, so there you have it.

Best Mom Ever

Today was an indoor day, first because of the MASSIVE amounts of pollen in the air and then later today, it rained. So I got out a bowl, put water in it, and gave Audrey some measuring cups and spoons. Instant delight!! She probably played for half an hour and got soaked. Then she stripped down naked and I got some great blackmail pictures which I won't be sharing. The girl loves to be without clothes. Unfortunately, it ended when she slipped in the water and fell and bonked her head. Nothing that a kiss from Mommy didn't cure, but it effectively ended water play.

Watching Daddy do yardwork

 Audrey supervised Nick in the yard last Saturday. She was feeling a bit under the weather, but was fascinated with what he was doing, mostly because he was wearing a hat. Now she tells me every day about Daddy wearing the hat. Apparently he doesn't do it often.

Babysitting

 This is what I do when I babysit children. I make them lie prostrate on the floor and bow in submission to me.

Or it's Dead Fish, that they begged me to play with them. See who can be the quietest and most still? Um, ok!

  

Audrey thought they were all napping and kept laying down on top of them saying "night night."

Easter weekend

This past weekend over Easter, we saw more grandparents and enjoyed the bright sunshine and warmer temperatures. I think Spring is here now. I confess, I cheated and wore open toed shoes yesterday, on March 31. But it was Easter -- how could I not?? ;)

Audrey was VERY concerned about the debris on the slide. She kept saying "oh no!" and wanted us to clean it off for her highness' hiney.
