Easter weekend

 Easter weekend we went over to my parents' house on Saturday for lunch and an egg hunt. I actually missed the lunch because of a ladies' brunch at church, but I'm told it was delicious. Audrey spent her nap time getting out all the chemicals out of the bathroom and spreading them all over the basement. That girl!

Owen and Audrey were so cute hunting eggs. They definitely had different styles. Audrey wanted to open each and every egg every time she found one and Owen wanted to find all the eggs himself! But they both had fun, and we enjoyed watching them, even if it was inside due to the weather.

Then on Easter morning, we took some obligatory family Easter pictures:

 After church, Barbara came over and we had lunch (decidedly a non-traditional lunch) and rested.

Mini-roommate reunion

 My college roommates and I are pretty far-flung, so we don't to get see each other often. So when Kirstin said she'd be in Tennessee for the weekend, we worked out a mini-reunion of sorts. Mostly it was a working weekend - I work as her assistant so we spent a few hours getting some tasks accomplished. But we were also able to walk around Covenant College, see and eat at a few old favorites in Chattanooga, and catch up on old times. Next time, ALL my roommates need to be there!!

As a bonus, I got to see two other friends from college before I met up with Kirstin, but of course, got no pictures. I'm the worst lately with that! But it was great fun to see them and catch up with them as well.

Kirstin and I found the dorm pics from the first years we were there at Covenant - the first one is also the first year the dorm was in existence.

 And in this one, Nick and I are almost front and center:

We took a pic of our old dorm room, but were too chicken to knock and see inside (we remembered when old people used to come on campus to reminisce.  And now we are the old people.)

Trouble

 At least it was cleaner. And she didn't eat any. :(

A girl and her Mater

Audrey has had an invisible friend for awhile. She's named him Mater, and of course, he's not original, but a rendition of the truck Mater in the movie Cars. She talks about him and to him all the time. He has dinner with us, has to be buckled in the car when we go places, and half the time, I step on him or forget him and we have to stop the car in the driveway to let him in. It's hilarious and we love asking her questions about Mater. It's most fun to hear her talking to him and telling him what to do. She's really pretty bossy.

Today I was at the Hallmark store and there on the clearance shelf was a stuffed Mater. I've not seen one before. Audrey just stared at it and said, "Mater!!! Mommy, can we take him home with us?" And of course, we did. And she was SO happy and has been playing with him ever since.

New carpet

 We got new carpet put in upstairs.  Here's our guest room with the new carpet (not like you can tell much from a picture):

Spring Break fun

Audrey has been on Spring Break this week, and we've had some adventures. We went on a hike with some friends:

We watched movies with breakfast (and maybe lunch and dinner some too):

We played hide and seek (I win A LOT):

We played outside in the sprinkler:

 We had a playdate with a friend from school:

 

And we went to the zoo!
